About this metric


The number of people visiting within the vision extent. It is estimated by multiplying the floor area of hotels by the visitor density, adjusting for the hotel vacancy rate.

Visitors = hotel use area * tourist density in hotels * (1-hotel vacancy rate)

Used to calculate: daytime density, human biomass, total proteins, total carbohydrates, total fats, total fibers, protein eaten while out, carbohydrates eaten while out, fats eaten while out and fiber eaten while out

Depends upon:

—Parameters: hotel vacancy rate and tourist density in hotels

—Other metrics: usable areas (floor area)
